The Rotary Club of Portola hosted a pancake breakfast fly-in at the Beckwourth Nervino airport on September 13th. I flew to the breakfast in my Cherokee 150 from Fallon. As a new private pilot working on my instrument rating I made a quick detour to shoot an approach into Reno Stead before heading over to Nervino.

It was fun checking out the airplanes and classic cars, listening to live music, and eating a big serving of pancakes. We even won a “run-a-locomotive experience” prize through the raffle!

My first time flying myself to a pancake breakfast fly-in was a success!
